Loved the chicken over rice. I had this second time now, much better than halal cart. I loved it and how much with care made our boxes.

Sammy's halal food is located in a prime location in downtown manhattan. For only $5 you can get a LARGE plate of food and go stroll into WSP to enjoy. A little embarassing that I went four years of living in new york without having tried halal, but my first experience was at Sammy's and it was pretty damn good and I now understand the hype. We ordered chicken over rice and it did not disappoint. All the sauces were perfect flavors and didn't overpower the main star of the show: the chicken and rice. Overall, a solid and affordable 10/10 experience.

DISCLAIMER: All these reviews are just notes to my future self. In case you haven't already noticed, this dude is rockin' a cart in the location on yelp. I stopped by to grab a chicken sammy for $5 and holy crap it was delicious and perfect. Chicken was super flavorful and textured, ingredients were fresh, and he took a card. If you're ever in the area and need a quick bite, there should really be no other option

I love Sammy's. The most moist and juiciest chicken ever and perfect rice. They really spice out and marinate the chicken compared to The Halal Guys. They offer white, red, green, and bbq sauce. Lettuce comes with the order. I wish they offered pita. It's still $6 for a box of chicken and rice but I feel like they could give you more chicken and rice and then top it off with salad. I always get the red and white sauce. Perfectly spicy with kick and cooled off with the creamy and garlicky white sauce. They'll try to get you by asking if you want any drink with your order, but you might need one if you get it with the red sauce.
